At SCA, you’re not just a passenger on a joy ride.

You are a steely-eyed fighter pilot at the controls of your very own “fighter jet”, pulling Gs and squeezing the trigger. Of course, we teach you everything you need to know about Basic Fighter Maneuvers (BFM) before you fly, so you have all the knowledge needed to successfully own the skies.

With over 10 professional fighter pilots on staff, we have a cadre of highly experienced combat veterans that have flown everything from the F-15 “Eagle” to the F-16 “Viper” to the A-10 “Warthog.” On one sortie, you might fly with a former Air Force Thunderbird, on the next, a fighter weapons school graduate, which is the Air Force’s version of Top Gun.

While the flying experience itself is thrilling enough, we also offer a taste of what it’s like to be a “fighter jock” for those who have ever dreamed of being a combat fighter pilot. To the maximum extent possible, SCA gives our “wingmen” a day in the life of the fighter pilot. All SCA instructors are highly-trained current and former military fighter pilots, so they will know first-hand how a fighter squadron looks and feels. A typical mission profile includes a limo pick-up, in-processing at the Squadron Orderly Room, where customers are fitted with their own flight suit, followed by a 1 ½ hour briefing on basic fighter maneuvers.

After that, we strap you in our brand new state-of-the-art, +10g/-10g, fully aerobatic Extra 330LC and our wingmen are thrust into the ultimate thrill ride. With a qualified Certified Flight Instructor in back, wingmen are taught the art of aerial combat, complete with high-g maneuvering, military maneuvers and the satisfaction of scoring a hit on your opponent.

The whole engagement is caught on video by one of our 4 mounted cameras, perfect for immortalizing our wingman’s first “kill” in a DVD. SCA utilizes all of the latest technology to give the wingman the most realistic simulation possible, including a gun reticle, an electronic targeting system that triggers “smoke on”, and complete visual coverage from 4 different angles including repeater displays in both the front and back seats.

Benefit for Debbie Flores-Narvaez to be held at Crown Theater & Nightclub

Organized by Genevieve and Nick Langlois, the benefit features performers and industry notables including host John Padon from Sin City Comedy; performers including Charro, the casts of Fantasy, Thunder From Down Under, Crazy Horse Paris and Striptease The Show; choreographers JJ Villar, who is also producing the show, and Matt Guerrero; singer Lorena Peril and many others. The event will also feature a live band, DJ and dancers throughout the evening. Jon D. Fondy is the associate producer of the show.

The benefit is a celebration of Debbie’s life and love for entertainment and the dance community. Entertainers from Las Vegas and Los Angeles are all contributing their time to put on a show of dance, music and art.

RHUMBAR to Host Basketball Tailgate Parties on the Patio in March

RHUMBAR’s basketball tailgate is the premium spot for ball fans to soak up Vegas’ gorgeous spring weather while enjoying all of the college b-ball action. Jack Osbourne at LAVO Nightclub

Upstairs, LAVO Nightclub kicked off the monthly Glam party as DJ Shift treated club goers to a rock tribute. Rock royalty Jack Osbourne was in the club taking in the scene with a group of friends and was spotted enjoying a mash up that included his father’s hit “Crazy Train”.

The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas on ABC Nightline

John Unwin, the CEO of the Cosmopolitan, sits down with ABC’s Nightline to discuss why he feels that Sin City is primed and ready for another big player. Declaring the client he’s searching for the “curious class”, he feels that The Cosmopolitan fills a void left by many Las Vegas casinos, exploration.

I agree with that thought, as most casinos in Las Vegas, for obvious reasons, are designed to direct you to where they want you to go, almost like supermarkets. The comparison lies with the fact that at a supermarket, the things you need the most tend to be to the left, right, or in the back of the store. The things you don’t need, seem to always be down the center aisles. With casinos, you’ll fine that the carpets are too busy for you to want to stare at, and the ceilings tend to be dull, causing you not to look in either area. Of course there are exceptions to this rule, but the idea is to get you to always look ahead, which is where all the gambling is.

The Cosmopolitan has done a great job with the exploration factor. With a tucked away pizza joint here and a buffet you have to search for there, with art everywhere you turn, even in refurbished cigarette dispensers, you can endlessly explore at The Cosmopolitan.

My hat is off to the newest resort on the Las Vegas strip. I encourage you to watch the Nightlife video below. Although I’m not a fan of the ABC correspondent’s snarky attitude, which really isn’t any different than many other news outlets that come to do stories on Las Vegas, it is a good video.

The star of the show here is of course steak. STK is a hip steakhouse that is part nightclub and part restaurant. You’ll find a young, beautiful crowd here, with a DJ booth being the focal point of the room.

Following the red carpet, the whole crew was escorted through the packed house to their VIP tables on PURE’s main stage. As Ray J and Brandy walked through the venue, they graciously stopped to greet and take pictures with a few lucky admirers. When they got to their tables, Ray J immediately stole the show and became the center of attention as he rushed to the front while his new hit single ‘Celebration’ was playing. Soon after arriving, special guest and good friend Snoop Dogg shocked and surprised guests when he joined Ray J on the stage. The two stars worked the crowd as they danced and drank along with their fans getting them riled up for the celebration to come. Next up, Ray J got on the mic welcomed everyone to his birthday party and announced that his big sister Brandy was in the building. She then was at her brother’s side as the packed house went wild for the former Dancing with the Stars contestant. The siblings stayed front and center as they interacted with their fans from their table. The crowd’s energy sored through the roof and didn’t stop there as Ray J got back on the mic and performed his hit singles including “Sexy Can I,” “Tie Me Down” and “143.”

Directly following his performance, Ray J was presented with a three-tier birthday cake decorated with stacks of hundred dollar bills and a microphone. After blowing out his candles, Brandy got on the mic and showed-off her beautiful voice by singing “Happy Birthday” to her brother. She then asked the whole crowd to sing along with her as she did an encore performance. It was a true family affair as Ray J showed his appreciation by hugging his sister and thanking her for the birthday wishes. Also joining the birthday celebration later in the evening was Floyd Mayweather and 15 additional friends. The group danced and partied until the early hours of the morning.
